D K Chin utilizes the old world method of dry setting stone for retaining walls and seat walls. No mortar, just gravity and friction. Shaping of the stone is minimal, using hand tools when necessary.

Paving

Integrity of paving installations relies on proper base preparation and selection of stone that meets minimum ratio dimensions. Flags and cobbles are typically dry set on an aggregate base, joints are pervious.

Water features

The character of a water feature is a dialogue between stone and water. The placement of stone is deliberate, with the action of the water responding in kind.
